Sir, Clause 11 Tax Audit requires auditor to require auditor to report on prescribed books of account. My query is on the word “prescribed”. 44AA require businesses to maintain books of account as to enable AO to compute Total income. Should this point also be covered under the ambit of the word prescribed and covered under this clause. Does the word prescribed specifically means list of books referred in Rule 6F for professionals ?
