Hi Sir, will you please elaborate the diff between +ve and -ve confirmation request through an example?

when confirmation requests asks third party
to send reply irrespective of whether balances match or not it is called positive confirmation request
Eg Balance as per books is Rs 80 lakhs receivable please confirm it
and
when reply is required only if balances dont match it is called negative confirmation request
Eg Balances as per our books is 80 lakhs receivable, please reply if balances dont match as per your books
