It is compulsory for company to send a notice of AGM to auditor but is it mandatory for auditor to attend AGM? If auditor does not attend , can company take any action against auditor?

as per section 146 sending notice of general meeting is compulsory at the same time it is compulsory for auditor to attend it, he can save himself by 2 things appoint proxy who is qualified and not disqualified and if permitted by company.

otherwise it is compulsory, if didnt attend it is non compliance of law and he will be punished, anyone can do complaint to company law board.
