Both Due Diligence and investigation seems to be same for me while studying can you please explain the basic difference between these two like there are certain questions in your QB that due diligence on behalf of incoming partner and investigation on behalf of incoming partner

Investigation is bigger domain.
It is examination for specific purpose which can keep be of different nature.
DD is part of investigation.
It is specifically to examine target entity, to look into acquisition related matters.
