Sample Designing / Design Sample: – It is preliminary step before we start applying sampling process of selecting and examining samples. It involves Understanding Purpose of Audit Procedure i.e Audit Objective / Determining Combination of Audit Procedures and Audit Evidence which will be required / Defining appropriate population and need to stratify it / Set confidence level required / Precision with which we can predict about population.
Evaluation of Sampling Results: – It is the last step in sampling process / whether results are providing reasonable basis to rely on sampling / If not ask Mgt to investigate misstatement / Tailor NTE of further audit procedures
