Can a CA In practice be an Independent director or a additional director as they are Non executive in a company.(i.e. not a MD or WTD).

yes he can be non executive director / independent director is type of non executive director

In clause 11 part 1 schedule 1 there is amendment that a member can acquire interest in family buss and provide evidence and he should be not active so my doubt is in Jan 21 question paper new syllabus Q6c there is a question that he is a sleeping partner and not actively involved in family buss so the ans now will be that he is not guity of pm ?
Because in jan 21 ans is it is guilty….but now it will not be guilty right sir?
i m confused abt this
they have just elaborated it, this point existed even before. there is no change in position, interest in family business was allowed earlier also, no active involvement + prior permission
he is declared guilty because he has not taken prior permission
