I have a fees outstanding with client where I resigned as a tax auditor from FY 21-22. This fees is relating to scrutiny work of FY 20-21 for which I raised bill in April 22.Client does not agree with the fees and have not booked the invoice in books. However, client has paid all dues outstanding till March 22. Can the new CA accept the audit for FY 21-22 considering the fact that there are disputed other dues of previous auditor.

incoming auditor has to just see status of undisputed audit fees
which means audit fees appearing as outstanding in financial statements signed by both client and auditor
with respect to undisputed fees, legal course of action can be taken
if incoming auditor has anywhere done misconduct, this point can be used to ask for other outstanding fees
